ANN CURRY, CSR

Certified Court Reporter since 1977.

Ann is from the Houston County area of East Texas and is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught elementary school in Houston from 1971 to 1974 before beginning her reporter training at McMahon College in Houston in the fall of 1974. She completed her reporter education and training at Alvin Community College and began reporting in 1977 with a firm in Houston where she reported medical peer review hearings, arbitrations and depositions.

Moving to Tyler, Texas in 1978, Ann worked with a freelance firm, reporting a wide variety of depositions, conferences, school board hearings and court trials. An East Texas Community Leader, Ann has served as a Board Member for the Literacy Council of Tyler since 1997. She has also served her profession as the President of the Court Reporters Association of East Texas and the Pro Bono Chair for the Texas Court Reporters Association. She formerly served on the TCRA Board as Area 2 Director. Ann retired from active court reporting in 2003 to manage the office and retired completely as of January of 2007.


 

D. KEITH JOHNSON, CSR, RDR, CRR, CCP, CBC

Certified Court Reporter since 1989.

Certified Shorthand Reporter, Registered Diplomate Reporter, Registered Merit Reporter, Certified Realtime Reporter, Certified Broadcast Captioner, Certified CART Provider-Master Level, A.A.S. in Court Reporting. Attended Tyler Junior College and the University of Alabama.

Keith has served as the official reporter for the 349th and 294th Judicial District Courts in Texas, as well as the U. S. District Court, District of Colorado. Currently serving as official reporter for the 114th Judicial District Court in Tyler as well as a deputy reporter for federal and state courts to handle complex litigation.

A pioneer in realtime reporting, he was the first reporter in East Texas to utilize realtime skills in the courtroom. He has qualified twice in the National Court Reporters Association Realtime Competition and Speed Competition.  In 2006 and 2008, he won the Texas Court Reporters Association Speed Cup and Realtime Competition after being the highest qualifier in 2005. 

He began volunteering as a Communication Access Realtime Provider (CART) in 1997 for his church and civic functions and is a Certified CART Provider (Master level) and Certified Broadcast Captioner.

In 1999, he was one of the reporters for the Debbie Lovett vs. American Home Products trial, the first fen-phen trial to reach verdict, $23.5 million and has continued to report complex patent trials.

 


KIMBERLY J. JULIAN, CSR, RPR, CRR

Certified Court Reporter since 1986.

Kimberly is a native of East Texas. Born and raised in Emory, Texas, she attended Texas A&M Commerce before transferring to the Court Reporting Institute of Dallas. Kimberly has been providing Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) since 2000 for hearing impaired organizations such as the Hearing Loss Association of American (formerly SHHH) and her local church. She has recently attained Level IV (Advanced) CART certification.

After several years as an independent reporter and working as an employee of another firm, she and Keith Johnson partnered in 1999 to form Court Reporting Services of Tyler and is now a partner of Curry Johnson Julian, Inc.
